M21 Sports History

Our parent company Maxam Surf began in 1996 as a family owned and operated business that specialized in the production of custom surfboards for numerous renowned global brands. Over the years, we have formed many partnerships within the surfing community and increasingly fell in love with the sport and industry.

Wanting to make our own impact, we created “M21 Surf” in 2005 as a company that made surf gear and boards at reasonable price in the hopes of making surfing more attainable and accessible to beginner - intermediate surfers. In 2008, operating as a brick and mortar store in Chino, CA has allowed us to have a foot print in the Inland Empire surfing community. 

However, like many “Inlanders” we don’t just love to surf. We love to skate and snowboard as well. Having had the privilege to meet and build relationships with people, we recognized that many felt the same. Thus, we created “M21 Sports Shop” to cater to our Inland Empire community and beyond. Whether if it’s skating, surfing, or snowboarding, we got you covered. We know why you love it, and we love it too.
